Topic: Divine Prosperity
Text: Gen 22 : 15 - 19

Short Exhortation
The covenant of prosperity is not the money gospel, rather prosperity is a wholesome experience packaged by God for his children. For instance the greeting Shalom literally means peace, but in its full contextual meaning it means "nothing missing, nothing broken" implying that beyond having enough money, you experience a wholeness in all areas of your life & existence.

An explanation of what the covenant of prosperity should look like / is all about is seen in Deut. 28 : 1 - 13. The benefits of covenant prosperity include:
* living in abundance
* peace & divine serenity over your household
* prevailing over struggles
* prevailing over contenders

Prayer points
1. Phil. 4 : 15 - 19, Jn. 12 : 24. The premise shows that in procurement of the covenant of divine prosperity, Abraham did not fail any of the test especially as regards giving; God grant me the grace of giving far more than I did last year in Jesus name, Lord take me to a new level in giving as an individual and for the Elevation Church so that we are well positioned  for the covenant of divine prosperity.

2. Josh. 6 : 1 - 5 pray that every form of containment shielding you away from the blessing of God and  your portion of the covenant are destroyed now in Jesus name. Somethings that are within the jurisdiction of God's blessing / the covenant for you but have been cordoned off are released now in Jesus name. Everything you need to fulfill destiny that is being occupied by someone is released and you take possession forcefully (pushing forth to prevail & possess it).
Lay hold on everything earmarked for you by destiny, possess them now by the covenant in Jesus Name.

3. Gen 26 : 19 - 25. Whatever contending against your increase and all that belongs to you by destiny will be  removed & you will increase, strife & contention ends now in Jesus name. Speak against the spirit of strife, you will enjoy many "Rehoboths" this year in Jesus name, signifying an end to strife & contention in all that belongs to you.
Declaration: Whoever is conniving to contend with me over that which belongs to me, Lord cause confusion in the midst of them, confusing their language thus bringing contention & strife to an end.

4. An expression of the covenant of divine prosperity is "blank cheques" - take hold of new territories as far as the eyes can see ( the covenant works with vision) declare new levels in business.

5. Thank God for: higher levels in your finances, new projects, unsolicited wealth, appointments,promotions etc. Plunder the enemy and enjoy wealth transfer by the covenant in Jesus name.

Topic: Divine Protection, Preservation and Restoration.
Text: Acts 13: 1 - 12

Short Exhortation .

The transcendent wisdom of God this year ( that has been declared our year of wisdom and power- 1Cor. 1 : 24) will cause all those who contend against you, thinking they are pushing you over the cliff to actually push you into destiny in Jesus name.

Be challenged to take hold of the spiritual discipline of fasting and prayer as an avenue to align yourself to the will go God for your life, to access divine direction. This implies that you are not permitted to be stranded because God's wisdom will not be in short supply, empowering you for divine assignment. If  anyone dares to stand in your way God will show up on your behalf to withstand and destroy all opposition in Jesus name.

When ever anyone / situation stands against you, you will declare the hand of God to come upon them shutting their eyes. As you go through this year carrying out your God given assignment, no one will be able to withstand you as you weld the power of God Mark 9 : 28 - 29. Nothing will shut your mouth so you will speak out against your adversaries declaring the hand of God to come upon them.

Prayer points
1.  Col 2 : 14 the  blood covenant is reinforced over your lives more than ever,  over you & your family shielding you from plagues. Speak the blood over everything that concerns you, stand against every atrocity from the pit of hell by the blood

2. Plead the blood over your family and every one that is connected to you such that every broken edge is repaired by the blood, that the mercy of God will prevail over judgement in Jesus name.

3. Ask for the power of God over your tongue that you may declare condemnation over every tongue that rises up against you in judgement. Receive grace to enforce the covenant over your life, your household , your business/ career.
Declaration: my mouth will not be shut when I'm supposed to speak, I receive grace to speak out.

4. Speak the blessing of God over your life speaking against every opposition, receive the grace to speak the counsel of God & as you speak, your words will not fall to the ground you'll see it honored with power. Enforce the the victory of the cross by speaking out this year in Jesus name.

5. Joel 2 :  25 - 27 every dangerous sickness & situations are turned around in Jesus name, declare restoration upon every area of your life by the covenant. Receive a restoration of anything that has been withheld unjustly declaring a divine release. All will be released and restored with benefits ("compound interest" - my addition) in Jesus name.

6. Every form of sickness, adversity,"Elyma's" will not withstand you because you will speak out against them & the hand of God will come upon them.

7. Pray against long journeys, stand against unnecessary long journeys any journey orchestrated by the enemy and the derivatives thereof are truncated now in Jesus name and direction to get you to your destination speedily is received now in Jesus name. Lord we receive speed such that journeys that should take a week will not take a month in Jesus name.

Topic: Withstand Deception

Text: 1Kings 13: 11 - 22.

 Short Exhortation:  This year you have to be your own prophet, no one can fast, pray, intercede for you like you do for yourself. The responsibility for your destiny to get to where God wants you to be is in your own hands. In 2013 God is sending you on assignment and there'll be deception along the way so you need to be the prophet over your life. You need to ask God for the spirit of discernment  so as to be sure you are still on track. Note prophesy is for edification, exhortation and comfort so any prophesy that doesn't do any of these three things you have the right to reject it

 1. Father help me to walk by faith and not by sight. To be continually focused on God so as not to give attention to man. Lord guard me against deception this year in Jesus name.

 2. Lord let your word not be scarce so as to give me the assurance in terms of direction. I receive grace to stand against deception, I will not walk in heresy this year as I stand on the truth of God's word.

 3.  Lord keep me from wrong company, give me grace to walk in the right company, guard me against friends that will cause me to get into infidelity, deception..... Cause divine offenses to purge the company I keep this year in Jesus's name.

 4.  Is. 30 : 20 - 21. Lord keep me in tune with teachers, mentors, right friends & associations. Whenever we get to junctions  in our lives, Lord let us hear your voice clearly saying this is the way to go. Lord I receive the grace to know the right associations this year in Jesus name.

 5. 2Kings 6 : 16 - 17. Lord we receive grace for divine friendships, by divine association bring me in contact with people who have gone the journey and can be right guides. Anoint me for divine association & friendship so people who ordinarily wouldn't have my time will take me under their wings bringing peace where I had been running around

 6. Our children will not walk into the wrong associations in Jesus name.

 7.  God grant me the humility to learn, grace learn something new daily that will be of benefit to me, my family. That knowledge will increase and prosper me, dispelling deception for me in Jesus name.

 8. 2 Cor. 10 : 5. Casting down imaginations, mindsets, worldly wisdom, knowledge causing regret, sorrow or mourning and bringing every disobedience  into captivity; that we may live free of deception and its effects.

Day 1 - Corporate prayers of the Prayer Summit.

Topic: The Wisdom of God
Text: 1Cor. 2: 9- 13
We have God's spirit on our inside thus giving us access to the knowledge of the things God freely gives us, so we begin to speak them forth because we no longer have to live in ignorance.

Prayer Points

1. Luke 7: 31 - 35 (emphasis on verse 35) pray for access to the wisdom of God to take over new territories, such that his wisdom will justify & speak for you so no one will be able to gainsay or resist you. By this access to wisdom that ignorance in any area of our lives ( career, business, marriage, health, finances etc) will be abolished.

2. Proverbs 2: 1 - 6. We need to learn to ask the right questions in order to move into new frontiers. We need to be continuously curious in order to keep asking questions that will trigger the breakthrough we desire:
(a) Pray for the grace to ask the right questions
(b) Pray that God puts the right questions in your heart as concerning your life  (career, business, marriage, health, finances etc) so that you ask the right questions that will make the situation work: how do I get out of debt? How do I make this marriage work?..... Lord inspire the right questions in my heart so that I do not loose the holy curiosity that I may probe by the prompting of the Holy Spirit to get the right answers in the mighty name of Jesus.

3. Matthew 5: 21- 22, 27 - 28, 33 - 34, 38 -39. We need to unlearn something's we have imbibed in times past so that the wisdom of God will seat well to make the necessary impact in our lives. To embrace the wisdom & power of God  we need to unlearn old things.
Pray for the right heart and attitude to unlearn old things, receive the grace to unlearn those things that seemed like truths but have prevented us from achieving our best in God.

4. Pray that as you ask the right questions you will not inquire of the wrong people, the right associations you will engage in every area of your lives. Pray that God will bring the people that are meant to execute God's counsel in your life, that God will attract them to  you & dissociate you from people who are preventing Gods counsel from being established in every area of your life (career, business, marriage, health, finances etc). Pray that helpers of destiny move into your life, pray for divine rearrangement in Jesus name.

5. Pray for the wisdom to know when to move & when to stand still (wisdom of action) the wisdom to be on time, to walk in step with Jehovah.

6. The baptism of wisdom upon The  Elevation Church so that as we come in ( to church) per time we will receive God's wisdom to accomplish all that concerns us in Jesus name. Pray that the wisdom of God overshadows all who come in to The Elevation Church.

7. Pray the baptism of the spirit of God over our families such that every plotting of the enemy over us or against us is overtaken in Jesus name.

Day 2 - Corporate prayers of the Prayer Summit.

Topic: The Wisdom & Power
First set of prayer points from the prayer bulletin.

1. Our prayers will not be in vain Col.1 : 9 - 12. We have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance in the light thus in 2013 nothing that belongs to me will elude me.

2. Fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding 1 Jn 5 : 4, we have the assurance that we'll get what we ask for so it's important that we ask in accordance to his will.

3. 2 Sam. 22 : 34 - 35. New goals will be set by the third & sixth months because what we thought would take a year will be accomplished / fulfilled in a short while.
Pray that God will make your feet like the Hind's feet, making divine acceleration to be your portion this year in Jesus name.
Pray that you may outrun those who have connection by the strength of God's spirit on your life.

4. Is. 8 : 18. Pray that you will have daily encounters with the supernatural, that you may be a divine advertisement of God's wisdom and power

SHORT EXHORTATION
Text: 2 Tim 3 : 1 - 5 ( emphasis on 5a)

We need to embrace the power of God to the end that we do not have the form of Godliness that denies the power that can make a tangible difference in our lives; such that our knowledge of God will be backed by a fear of God himself. To have a balanced fear of God is to have a fear as of terror and a fear as of reverence/ honor. As we pray we must be mindful that what will make things work in our favor is to live in the fear of God & believe that the power of God can turnaround everything in our lives. We can therefore engage the power of God to see positive / tangible changes in our lives. *choices changes circumstances but decisions determine destiny*
Rom. 8 : 13 - 15. When the wisdom of God is resident in you it combines the two types of fear that we have of God.

5. Phil. 2 : 12 - 13. Ask God to birth / reactivate a fear of Him in your heart. Lord reactivate a fear for you & your presence , help me to understand the awesomeness of your presence , help me overcome everything that is the source of  unholy familiarity that I will revere you as I ought in 2013. What ever will not give you glory/ break your heart let me not be found there / associated with in Jesus name.

6. Make me a candidate for honor in 2013, help me to do things that will engender honor to your throne & your name.

7. Lord I receive the courage to change the things I can i.e. I am resolving to work / cooperate with God to see tangible changes in my life so that God's power will come to bear in my life, Spirit of God work within to will & to do of your good pleasure ( break anger, timidity, unforgiveness etc) bring tangible changes to the way I live.

DECLARATION: I am a debtor not to the flesh but to the Spirit. He rules & reigns in my life in 2013.

8. Lord help me to know that I am indebted to you, to do your bidding, to walk in the spirit, order my steps, my utterances, my thinking / my mind to the end that I'll hear a voice behind me saying "this is the way you should go walk in it"

9. I receive grace to keep in remembrance that I'm a debtor to the Spirit such that I do the bidding of the Spirit. I owe the Holy Spirit my allegiance to obey the bidding of the Holy Spirit, being alive to the Holy Spirit always.

10. A daily encounter with divine help. Ps 108: 13, Ps 121 : 1- 2. "Vain is the help of man, in 2013 we will not lean on the arm of flesh. Lord help me to be conscious of divine help constantly & to come to the knowledge that help is always available to me. Embrace divine help; I declare that I'm not permitted to be stranded, help shows up in the nick of time.

11.  Mark 16 : 20 daily encounters with the manifestation of His power. Mark 9 : 28 - 29. In 2013 I enjoy daily encounters with the divine power of God, wherever I show up no demon is permitted to remain there, I lay hands on the sick and they recover

12. Ask God for a baptism of power upon The Elevation Church such that all we do is backed up with the power of God, every aspect of our lives encounters the power of God

Topic: Grace and Power

1. Is 66 : 8. God grant me the Grace & Supernatural ability to achieve
 my goals / birth my dreams. Lord we receive your help to achieve
great things, obtaining grace to help in our time of need.
Lord everything you've ordered for my life in 2013 will come to pass
in Jesus name. There will be no miscarriage of dreams, we receive
God's power to bring them to birth in Jesus name.

2. Gen. 39 : 3 - 4
Pray that the grace of God will highlight you this year, lay hold on
God's grace & favor that will single you out among your peers.
Distinguishing grace, preferential treatments will be our portion this
year in Jesus name.

3. Num. 6 : 25 - 26 pray that the light of God's countenance, showing
you his favor, that he will show the secrets of sweat less triumphs.

Short Exhortation ( Text: Ruth 2 : 1 - 3)
As we pray set your face as a flint trusting God that his favor will
attend your way in 2013. You must have a positive expectancy, knowing
that as partakers of the covenant you are entitled to grace & favor.
Ruth followed the path of Favour and the path opened up to her because
she was open to being favored.  Being open to the favor of God is
therefore a prerequisite for Favor.
In 2013, don't fix your mind on a source of income ( your salary)
only, God has bigger plans for you & he's not bound to blessing you
financially by your salary even though he's pleased that you aren't
idle in your pursuit for financial increase. Ps 102 : 13 makes us
understand that the time to Favour you is now. We are praying for
grace & favor now because  when we fix our eyes on a source its
because we do not think anyone is disposed favoring us but the truth
is that grace is attracted. Weakness makes us rationalize the Grace of
God  to cause favor to be attracted to you - when grace is available
the favor or God is available.
God's loudest voice is the Favour of God.

4. Connect prophetically to the favor & Grace of God upon the
Elevation Church, that you'll be a full partaker of the Grace

5. In 2013 everything that God has ordained for you that you don't
qualify for in the physical, step into them because you are qualified
by the covenant. Pray that every measure of favor and grace attends to
you and the works of your hand, your career, your business etc.
Anything beyond your reach in the physical supernaturally becomes
yours by the favor of God.

6. Just as God ordered the steps of Ruth to encounter the field where
her favor had been prepared for her so will God  order your steps, you
will walk into God appointed places / fields where the favor of God
has been preordained for you this year in Jesus name.

7. Make a commitment to enter into your rest by ceasing from struggle
because you are not  created to live in struggle, when you walk in
covenant in God you have a life of rest. You need to be diligent but
diligence is not toiling, leverage on the favor of God made available
by the covenant.

Declaration: my efforts are amplified by your favor, I walk in rest in
accordance to the covenant, the toiling mindset is broken over my
life. As I sow my seed the earth yields her increase to me

8. Deut 28 : 23 we break the curse over our lives whether mindset,
lifestyle, words of our mouths that is causing the heavens over our
lives to be shut and the earth under our feet to be as iron.
The heavens over my life is open and the earth beneath me becomes
fertile ground in Jesus name

9. Trust God for uncommon grace to work for you in 2013, uncommon
grace is no respecter of general circumstances. When uncommon grace is
at work in your life you do dangerous things, you do things that
ordinary people do not do.

10. Command a flow of uncommon grace that will propel you into doing
things that seem impossible - line crossing and barrier breaking
grace. An inflow of uncommon grace by virtue of the covenant you enjoy
which is reemphasize d by the communion in Jesus name.

I refuse to stay in the boat in 2013 I'm walking on water ( this is
only possible by uncommon grace).



Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of
life Prov. 4: 23

Elevation Church: Welcome to #ElevateDay with Pastor Pastor Tunde Usidame of The Elevation Church. Today, he'll be sharing important perspectives about prayer

Elevation Church: Is there a prescription for effective prayer? Really? 

Pastor Tunde: I believe prayer is really about relationship with God. You don't have set methods for relating with your parents

Elevation Church: And what's a parent-child relationship like in prayer? 

Pastor Tunde: Well.. it's like any other good relationship between parent/child. There is love, trust and honesty. Trust will mean letting God lead you even when it's against your personal agendas.

Elevation Church: We like the word 'honesty'. But, can you really tell God EVERYTHING? And, does He talk back? 

Pastor Tunde:  You should tell God everything. He knows already anyway, the creator knows the creature James 1:5 but the essence of relationship is us coming to Him and vice-versa. God talks back to us; through His word (Bible) & in other ways as we grow closer in our relationship with Hi.

Elevation Church: What's the place of fasting in prayer?

Pastor Tunde:  Fasting is about you, not God. It's really about depriving "self" periodically to hear God more clearly. The flesh and daily grind is too much "noise" at times.

Elevation Church:  The next Q is quite important - how do you develop very personal intimate conversations with God?

 Pastor Tunde: It starts with trust and regularity. Trust is a function of faith. If you trust your dad and talk to him a lot, you'll get intimate. Trust also means you know you won't be condemned even when you go wrong.

Elevation Church: How do you know your prayers have been answered, when you can't yet see the results?

 Pastor Tunde: How do you know your dad has paid your school fees even when you haven't seen the receipt? Faith & Trust are key here. Mark 11:23-24 says believe that you receive and you will have.


YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

Zjolt: How can a christian become consistent in the Place of Prayer? Practical tips please! 

 Pastor Tunde: Really you can only be consistent by being consistent. Pray daily even when you are not sure you're being heard. Your consistency will also translate to trust.

Olumide: Is there any particular posture that one has to keep to while praying?

 Pastor Tunde: I don't believe there is, God is always with us. Of course we should love and reverence Him. In prayer always remeber the parent/child, father/son relationship.

Olumide: Are there prayers that God will not answer?

 Pastor Tunde:  1 John 5:14 says we have confidence in prayer when we ask according to His will.  So 1 John 5:14 means God won't answer prayers that are not according to His will & His will is His word. sometimes God's will for us is not our will for ourselves.

Stephen : What is the difference between "God's will be done" & "grant us our heart desire"? And which is the right way to pray?

Pastor Tunde:  As you relate better to God, you start to want the same things. 1 John 5:14, just ensure what you are asking is in line with God's will.

CONCLUSION

Pastor Tunde : Prayer starts with trust and regularity. If u trust your dad and talk to him a lot, you'll get intimate. A function of prayer is to maintain our relationship with God.
